Superhero Searching Tips

Bitmoji ImageWhen using these websites, databases, or search engines, be sure to look for life achievements.  Good words to look for in the articles are profile, biography, life, and career. If you have to type your person's name into a search bar, be sure it is spelled correctly!
 

Websites

My Hero:  Read about all different types of heroes.  Search the specific category or the entire site for information on a hero. 

Biography.com shares true stories of notable people.  These people are not necessarily heroes, but have made an impact in the world whether it was culturally, politically, or spiritually. 

 
The First Ladies:  Information about the First Ladies of the United States.

 


Presidents of the United States:  In this resource you will find background information, election results, cabinet members, presidency highlights, and some odd facts on each of the presidents. Links to biographies, historical documents, audio and video files, and other presidential sites also are included to enrich this site.

Encyclopedia Britannica Bios: Britannica is the world-wide leader at the forefront of the information revolution for 250 years. 

 

Garden of Praise: Biographies of over 100 famous leaders including artists, patriots, poets, and presidents. Get an idea of what your hero looked like.
   
Mr. Nussbaum's Website: These biographies give a reference and starting point for students to get to know their hero.  Use this as a guide to create a plan for research.
